Hi! I am getting married in Cape May, NJ in September and have decided to DIY my invitations. I have found a lot of great advice and examples on how to do this, but very few designs I have found incorporate the beach theme. I am probably going to emboss my design on the invitations and have had poor luck finding stamps that are both modern and beachy.
Has anyone DIYed their invites with a beach theme? If you have, please post them here!
Here are some stamps I have found, but I'm not exactly in love with:

I'm a september bride too! I def ditching the regular fall decor for beachy stuff. Intially, I wanted a bamboo print, but I couldn't find a stamp I wanted. Embossing gear isn't too expensive, but its pretty time-consuming. So I switched to just a regular seashell image I found online. You can google beach wedding invitations and get ideas. Then use a program like microsoft picture it! (thats what im using....it's really easy to add the effects you want) or photoshop to create the invitation you want. You can get it printed at kinko's, which is what I'm doing...it costs $35 for the embossed template then 59cents a copy. If you do a postcard style, you can fit two invites per page. Then cut them apart and maybe use a different color paper to glue the printed page to and add a rafia bow or something. Hobby Lobby has a great selection of invitation papers...including a brown "eco" type of paper that is very beachy.
Good luck!

Hey Cape May girl - I'm getting married in Long Branch :) I would recommend what some of the others have - maybe get a custom monogram and have them printed on each of your invites - this way it's beachy and it's unique to you guys :) Good luck and let us know what you come up with!

So I came up with a few designs using a stamp I found on the internet. I found a sand dollar stamp as well as a sea floor stamp. I uploaded possible invitation designs to my bio under photos. The stamps would be embossed in tiffany blue to match my colors, but right now they are just laid out as a template so colors aren't shown.
I tried using the initial of his last name in the background of the invitation, but it was a little too simple for my taste, and it is too busy with the stamp and initial. I really want the beach theme to be incorporated...I guess I like the cheesiness of it!
Check them out and let me know which is your favorite please!
