I have been looking for shoes to wear at my beach wedding. I will be barefoot during the ceremony but will still need shoes for the rest of the wedding. My dress is lacy so I do not want them to be too casual but still want flat sandals. Any suggestions on what to wear or where to find them?

mystique has some beautiful sandals(thats what i'm wearing during my ceremony) the cost though is anywhere from $120-160...depends on what you want to spend. otherwise i think i would just look at sales from department stores.

I am most likely doing flip flops. If you search "Beach wedding flip flops" on the web- tons pop up!

Our actual ceremony was on the grass just over the dune, so I had regular shoes on for that part. The grass was cut short so we really did not sink. I had the Havaiana high wedge flip flops on after that so my dress would not drag so much in the sand, and they were great. I never got to put the rhinestoes on the straps (maybe a winter project), but I had the gold/beige ones so they looked fine, plus I wore them a ton on the HM.

I wore the sterling silver barefoot sandals on the beach:

And then wore silver flipflops later, which were easy to wear over the barefoot sandals, and looked great. The barefoot sandals were a gift from my DH, but there are less expensive alternatives available on this site.

Here's the life cycle of the knot/nest. You start out on NEY, go through the other boards. You see those bitter old hags who've been married before, and are doing it again. Then somehow you end up on P & E, then over to the nest on S & R, then, over to TIP. Then a few years later, you're back on Second Weddings. Then you're older, wiser, and then laugh at the women who are 19 who are getting married and complaining because you've said they're too young, they should go slow. And finally, you're called a bitter old hag. You have arrived.

I'm making those barefoot sandals for my bms and myself... they're really easy!
