Over the next few months I am going to be helping my MOH plan her wedding. Her's is a year before mine so we're tackling hers first obviously.

Here is the issue. She's having a September FL beach wedding but her colors are Red and Silver. I say it's her wedding and it should be her choice. her mom on the other hand is pushing that she change her colors saying "They aren't beachy enough and they're too dressy." My MOH is getting kinda discouraged.

What is your opinion? Are the colors just wrong for the season or can we make this work?

its her wedding..she can have what she wants..but if mom is paying for everything, she has more of a say in things..i say to keep the peace, look up some pretty red and silver weddings done on the beach and show them to her so she can see that it can be done nicely.

Really, there is no such thing as wrong, and there are no "wedding police." Of course, I am sure her mother has a vision, and that typically happens with Moms and brides. I agree with above, look up some pretty picks of fall (usually reds i nthe theme) weddings on the beach. IN the end, her Mom will not care 20 years from now what color her daughter had at her wedding, but your friend will always regret changing ot please someone else.

The first thing that pops to my mind is the bridesmaids in red sundresses and silver sandals or sand dollar or starfish necklaces. I think there's a way to make anything work. If she had the bridesmaids in long red silk gowns it wouldn't work, but just use the colors to fit your theme. Google is pretty helpful. I think it's totally doable. :)
