hi girls....i purchased a large scallop shell for our ring bearer to use as our ring pillow, but trying to figure out the best way to have the rings attached to it (don't want to just lay them in there in case they get dropped and buried in the sand!) has anyone done this or does anyone have any instructions on the best way to do it? let me know. thanks!!!

just put some rafia hanging off the shell and make sure its tied really good. go to google images and search sea shell ring bearer and you will see what I mean.

For my daughter's beach wedding, we are using really pretty shells, abalone, I think.
We used a dab of hot glue to affix a ribbon into the shell, then we'll tie the rings on.
BTW, we are not using the real rings -- but fake ones instead. The real rings will be held by the Best Man and Matron of Honor. Don't want to risk losing those rings!

We bought fake rings for this exact reason. DH's ring is black ceramic so we found a black glass ring for $7 and a plain silver looking band at target for really cheap. Of course we told our RB to try not to drop them but if he does its ok and to give them to the best man when he got up there so that he still thought he was doing something important.
